The Waubonsie Creek

Maggy is a Junior and is double majoring in environmental studies and sociology. She has discovered her love for drawing and painting through various art classes she has taken at AU. She is inspired by art used to advocate for a healthier, more sustainable planet.

The painting is acrylic paint on canvas. Inspired by the Hudson River School of Art and their artists' perception of nature. Artists often left out human activity to evoke a pristine scene untouched by man. The scene painted is the Waubonsie Creek in downtown Oswego.
