Green
The color of the grass, the leaves, the bushes
The color of algae and lily pads that die slowly
The color of our oceans, full of pollution
The color of bile, sickness caused by the unnatural chemicals in the air
Brown
The color of dirt
Our dirt is full of insects
Worms, beetles, and spiders
It’s also full of garbage
Paper, plastic, and rotting food.
White
The color of our clouds and dandelions after they’ve matured
The color of the smoke from our cars evaporating into the air, seeping into our Earth
The color of the smoke billowing into our ozone layer, coming from factories overproducing things we do
not need
Black
The color of our lungs, a consequence of our actions
The color of the oil our wildlife drowns in
The color of space, the only place our Earth still looks clean.
Blue
The color of our waters thousands of years ago, B.U. (Before Us)
Blue is the color of our ice caps, steadily melting, contributing to our rising waters
The color of the rain, the clouds’ tears falling upon a delipidated Earth
