Steven Pinker coined the term "mentalese" to describe the language of thought. He asserts that our thoughts are simply "a gist in our minds" and not clear, articulate sentences. Similarly, environmental advocacy requires a certain frame of mind, or "mentalese," to be truly effective. So, here is Environmentalese: a female-led academic journal dedicated to changing the popular mindset to be more environmentally attuned.
